I'm a caregiver
For families

Find a caregiver near you — checked before you meet.

For your children, your parents, your pets, your home. Every profile shows what we have actually checked — so the person who turns up is somebody you already know something real about.

Nivo Care is in a private beta on iOS. Tell us where you are and what you need, and we'll send you an invite.

What "checked" actually means

Three different things, and they are not the same thing. The two checks are shown separately on a profile, each with the month it was done — never rolled together into one score.

A verified ID

A government ID, matched against a live selfie — so the person in the photo is the person holding the document.

A background check

Requested by the caregiver, reviewed by us, and dated on the profile. Today that is our own review — not yet a criminal-records search through a screening provider. We would rather tell you that than let you assume it.

Reviews from real bookings

Written by families who booked that caregiver through Nivo. Nothing imported from anywhere else, nothing bought.

If a badge isn't on a profile, we haven't checked — that's all it means. We don't show a greyed-out badge for a check that hasn't happened, and we don't average the checks into a single score. You see what we know and what we don't — including where what we know is thinner than you might expect.

What you can book

Six kinds of care, one app, one set of checks. Whatever the week turns out to need.

Child care

Babysitting, after school, the school run.

Senior care

Company, errands, help around the day.

Special needs

Experience that is asked about, not assumed.

Tutoring

Homework, a subject that has gone quiet, exams.

Housekeeping

The house kept, so the evening is yours.

Pet care

Walks, sitting, the days you are away.

How it works

Three steps, in this order, because each one needs the last.

  1. Say where and what kind of care

Your area and the kind of help you need — a child, a parent, a pet, the house. No form to fill in before you can see anything.

  2. See who's nearby, and what's been checked

Caregivers near you, each with their rate, their experience, and the checks above shown plainly.

  3. Message them, then book

Talk first, agree the details, and book when you're ready. Nothing is arranged behind your back.

Messaging a caregiver is part of a paid family subscription. That is the only thing Nivo charges for. Browsing, profiles and checks cost nothing, and caregivers never pay — not to join, not to apply, not to get hired.

Looking for work, not for care?

You're a caregiver.

Free to join, free to apply, free to get hired. You set your own rate, and Nivo never takes a cut of what a family pays you — the subscription is theirs, not yours.

Before you ask

The questions people actually have before handing over an evening or a house key.

What does it cost?

Browsing, profiles and the checks cost nothing. A paid subscription is what lets you message a caregiver — that is the only thing Nivo charges for, and it is charged to families, never to caregivers.

How do I pay the caregiver?

Directly, between the two of you. The money for the care does not pass through Nivo, so nothing is deducted from it and there is no platform fee on your bill.

Is there anybody near me?

Maybe not yet — we are new, and concentrated in a few areas. Ask for an invite and we will tell you straight whether there is somebody in your area rather than letting you find out from an empty screen.

What if a caregiver has no badges?

It means we have not checked, and nothing more than that. We never show a greyed-out badge for a check that has not happened, and we never merge the checks into a single trust score.

Which phone do I need?

Nivo Care is in a private beta on iOS today. Ask for an invite and we will let you know when your platform is ready if it is not yet.

Who is behind it?

A small team, small enough that the two people who read the invite requests are the two people building it. Write to us and you get one of them.

See who is near you.

The profiles, the checks and the messages live in the app — and it opens by invitation while we are still small enough to answer everybody who writes.

A private beta on iOS — we read every one of these.
