The family pays, not you
Families pay a subscription to message caregivers. That is the only thing Nivo charges for, and it is charged to them.
Children, seniors, special needs, tutoring, housekeeping, pets — the work you already do, close to where you already live. You set your rate, and Nivo never takes a cut of it.
Nivo Care is in a private beta on iOS. Tell us where you are and what you do, and we'll send you an invite.
Worth being blunt about, because most places in this market are not.
Families pay a subscription to message caregivers. That is the only thing Nivo charges for, and it is charged to them.
Your hourly rate is yours to choose and yours to change. Nothing is deducted from what a family agrees to pay you.
A verified ID and a background check sit on your profile as badges. They are the first thing a family looks for, and both are free to you.
Six kinds of care work. Take the ones you do, in the area you already live in.
Babysitting, after school, the school run.
Company, errands, help around the day.
Experience that is asked about, not assumed.
Homework, a subject that has gone quiet, exams.
The house kept, so the evening is yours.
Walks, sitting, the days you are away.
Set up once, then it is just applying to what comes up near you.
The care you do, where you can work, when you're available, and what you charge.
A government ID check, and a background check you request and consent to. Both free, both shown on your profile as badges a family can see.
Jobs posted nearby come to you, and families searching your area can find you directly.
We're early, and we'd rather say so. Nivo Care is new, and in some areas there are not many jobs posted yet. The app shows you exactly what is actually there — we don't pad the list, and we don't invent postings to make it look busier than it is.
The questions worth answering before you spend twenty minutes on a profile.
Yes, all the way through: joining, your profile, the ID check, the background check, applying, and getting hired. Families pay a subscription to message you. That is the only money Nivo takes, and it does not come from you.
Directly by the family, at the rate you agreed. The money does not pass through Nivo, so nothing is deducted and nobody takes a cut of your hours.
Possibly not yet. We are new and there are areas with few jobs posted. The app shows you exactly what is there — we do not pad the list to look busier.
You request it and you consent to it; it does not happen behind your back. It is free, and the badge it puts on your profile is the first thing families look at.
You do, and you can change it whenever you like. A family sees it before they write to you, so nobody is negotiating from a surprise.
