These terms cover your use of Nivo Care — the app, the website, and the service behind them. By creating an account you agree to them.
What Nivo Care is, and what it is not
Nivo Care is a marketplace. We help families find caregivers and help caregivers find work. We are not a care agency, and we do not employ caregivers.
A caregiver you book through Nivo Care is an independent person, not our employee or our agent. The arrangement — what is done, when, and to what standard — is between the family and the caregiver. We are not a party to it.
Who may use it
You must be 18 or over. You must give accurate information when you register and keep it current — an out-of-date address means we send the wrong caregiver to the wrong place.
You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it.
Background checks
Where a caregiver's profile shows a background check, that reflects a check performed at a stated date by a third party. A background check reports what it finds in the records available to it. It is one input into your decision and it is not a guarantee about a person's conduct.
Meet anyone you are considering. Ask for references. Use your judgement — it is better than ours, because you are the one who will be there.
Bookings
A booking is a request until the caregiver accepts it. The rate shown at the time of booking is the rate that applies. Either side may cancel; be decent about it and give as much notice as you can.
Payments are not yet handled through Nivo Care. Until they are, families and caregivers settle payment directly between themselves, and we are not involved in it.
Reviews
You may review a caregiver after a booking has been completed. Write what happened. Reviews must be your own honest experience — not hearsay, not retaliation, and not about anything other than the care provided. We may remove a review that is none of those things.
What you may not do
- Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your identity, experience or credentials.
- Use Nivo Care to harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone.
- Scrape the service, or use it to build a competing dataset.
- Try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to any part of it.
- Use it for anything illegal.
Ending your account
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we believe someone is at risk of harm.
Disclaimers and liability
Nivo Care is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not warrant the conduct of any user of it.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Nivo Care, or from any arrangement you make through it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and we will tell you in the app if the change is material.
