Privacy Policy

Last updated 26 August 2026

Nivo Care connects families who need care with the caregivers who provide it. Doing that means holding information that is genuinely personal — where you live, who lives with you, and who comes into your home. This page says what we collect, why, and who else sees it.

What we collect

Information Why we hold it
Name, email address, phone number, date of birth To create and secure your account. Your password is stored only as a hash — we cannot read it.
Your address, and the map coordinates derived from it To show you caregivers who can actually reach you, and to order results by distance. Search does not work without it.
Profile photo, when you upload one So the person on the other side of a booking is a face rather than a name.
For caregivers: biography, hourly rate, years of experience, skills, certifications, languages, availability, and background-check status This is what a family reads before deciding whom to trust. Caregivers choose what to publish.
Bookings — dates, times, the rate agreed, and the address of the visit To run the booking and to keep a record both sides can refer to.
Reviews you write Shown publicly on the caregiver's profile, with your first name and last initial.
Messages you send to the in-app assistant To answer you. See “Who else sees your information” below.

What we do not do

Who else sees your information

We use a small number of services to run Nivo Care. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

As Nivo Care grows we expect to add a background-check provider and a payment processor. We will update this page before either handles your information, not after.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to prevent harm to a person.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account, and afterwards only where we have a reason to — a record of a completed booking, or an obligation to keep something. Ask us to delete your account and we will delete what we are not required to keep.

Your choices

Children

Nivo Care is for adults arranging care. You must be 18 or over to hold an account. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. Families may tell us about the people they are arranging care for, including children — that information is used only to make the arrangement and is visible only to the caregiver involved.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are hashed. Access to the production database is restricted. No system is perfect, and we would rather say that plainly than promise otherwise.

Changes

When this policy changes we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will tell you in the app.
